Michael Cheney's Adsense Videos...again!

OK, so I finally waded through the vids of Mr Cheney.

I've watched his videos and Peter Hale's (see my Total Web SEO posts) and in some ways they are similar (ie fairly basic).

The Total Web SEO package wins overall however. There's a lot from Mr Cheney's package that you can get from google's own FAQ section on Adsense. To give him his due though there are one or two things in Adsense Videos that really made the lightbulb come on in my head. A couple of strategies that I hadn't thought of (and I do pretty well at adsense). So for that alone I have to say the vids are probably worth the money - just!

One thing I have noticed recently is that these video packages can easily fool the prospective buyer into thinking they are worth more money than a simple pdf.

Their perceived value is greater.

Frankly it can take a couple of hours to knock up a few videos so personally a well written ebook would get my vote everytime - and there's an awful lot of mumbling and "errr"s in both sets.

Slightly off topic but for me the master of the instructional video is Mark Mondiarcini. If your Photoshop skills need a brush up (pun intended!) then you can do a lot worse than his hugely energetic presentations.

To finish then Michael Cheney's Adsense Videos - 7/10
Peter Hale's Total Web SEO - 8.5/10

The choice is yours!

Til tomorrow....

What Google Said...

Morning all, gotta spend some time on the garden today - the neighbour's complaining - wants me to put a bigger fence up - bummer!

Ahem, because I hate to leave my blog unattended for a day here's a really interesting article I noticed recently - take note...

More about Total Web SEO

OK, so back to this little beauty. I've finished the "course" and I can honestly say, if you're pretty new to the whole Internet Marketing thang, then this is definitely a worthwhile investment. If you already know about picking the best keywords, content, forums and links then you'll probably be underwhelmed by the videos. Me? Although I knew a lot of the stuff, it's always going to be handy as a reference plus it comes with a great ebook which is almost worth the money itself.

At $67 I wouldn't call it a decision to take lightly, particularly if you're starting out - but it will pay for itself many times over if (and this is the important bit) you take ACTION!

Here's the blurb from Peter's site...

Everyone knows the best source of traffic to your websites is from the search engines; this is because:
80% of visitors to websites still start from a search engine query
There are 250 million searches each day !
The visitors to your site are 100% targeted because they are searching specifically for your products
Best of all, these visitors are 100% FREE
Wouldn't be great if you could "see" how to get your website to the top of the search engines?
No dirty tricks, all above board, all 100% legal ?
Well now you can. My online colleage Peter Hale has been developing websites since 1996 and earning his own internet income since 2001. Last year his 15 websites earned him in excess of $327,000 !
All his sites get over 500 visitors a day - his top site in excess of 14,000 per day.
He has now launched a series of 11 videos showing you how it's all done - and an insight into some of his sites.

TotalWebSeo

OK so I'm halfway through Peter Hale's Total Web SEO and I must say first impressions are good.

Peter speaks very clearly (is it just me or do a lot of people mumble on marketing vids? It's a real put off!)

Some of the stuff he points out is quite basic but I have had a few "lightbulb" moments and it's always good to be reminded of the basics once in a while.

His claim of getting 500 visitors per day within a month is valid, but it's still going to take a bit of work! If you're ready to put the hours in then be prepared for a flood of traffic to your site.

I'll finish off the videos tonight and give the final verdict tomorrow.

Ta ta for now...

Michael Cheney's Adsense Videos & Total Web SEO

Hi, hope you are well today. Nice and sunny here in England and as usual here I sit on the PC. Us marketers never stop hey?!

Anyway, I wasn't planning on purchasing Michael Cheney's videos for adsense but my curiosity got the better of me. I also bought Total Web SEO, a new package from a fellow brit Peter Hale. I'll post reviews for both this weekend (if the World Cup doesn't take priority) so keep 'em peeled!

It's summer time and the money is fine (or not)

So my adsense buddies, anyone noticing the "great summer slump"? My income has taken a dip as I'm sure a lot of other people's has too.

It's important at this time to just keep on doing what you've always been doing. Keep putting up sites, keep on doing your Wordtracker research and keep writing (or keep getting other people to write) articles for your site or for your distribution.

The money will soon rise again, mark my words!

Work from home with no start up costs

If you want to work from home with no start up costs then it has to be said the net is the only place to be. It's here in glorious cyberspace that anyone can begin their own business with little or no money! Huzzah and hurrah as they say in Blackadder.

Now going back to that keyword advice I promised you - here's the cheapest and most effective way of getting traffic quickly...

So - you've decided to build a site on, say, hammocks! Interesting choice but a quick look on google shows me plenty of sponsored links - so there's gold in them thar hills!

Let's say you've got the site designed how you want it and you've left the most important thing to last - the content.

It's easy now to make a mistake and just write random stuff about hammocks or use free reprint articles to fill up your site.

If you really want a quick traffic boost to get you started then it all comes down to those pesky keywords. All I'm going to ask you to do is just spare 4 quid (about $7, my American friends) and get a day's pass to Wordtracker.

Now it gets exciting because you're about to uncover keyword gold! Using hammocks as an example I can quickly discover hundreds of hammock related keywords. What's great about Wordtracker is that you can check up on the competition. And, yes, I've found at least 10 phrases which have 0, that's nought!!, competing pages in Google. OK so one of the phrases was "hammock chair for sex" but, hey, we live in a crazy world.

Think you can get to the top of Google with those key phrases? Thought so!

Now of course those phrases may only get a few searches each day but that is targeted traffic - pure gold! Start off with these low competiton phrases and slowly graduate to more competitve phrases as your traffic builds. Easy! Even better build a few hundred pages based around these low competiton phrases and you'll get thousands of free search engine visitors, all eager to click on your ads.

If you're serious about making it big in Internet Marketing, Wordtracker is indispensable!
