How To Become A Super Affiliate!

I always laugh when someone describes themselves as a super-affiliate in forums. Do they think they're some kind of hero? Certainly, if you feel the need to tell people that you're a super affiliate well...you're probably not one!

But what does the term actually mean?

Well, a "super" affiliate is one who makes the majority of his rather large income through affiliate sales. He/she probably has his fingers in a number of pies, meaning he/she is successful in various markets.

So how does one go about becoming a super-affiliate? After all, it seems like a pretty cushy lifestyle. No need to worry about creating your own products or managing stock - all a super affiliate needs is a link to someone else's product...and a tasty commission!

A lot of super affiliates will use Adwords to control their empires, but with the Adwords game getting ever more complicated (and expensive) I'll steer clear of that for this article (not to mention the fact I've always been a bit ropey on the old Adwords game!)

No, today let's discuss building a site that attracts swathes of free traffic, garners a huge list and gives you the opportunity to promote all kinds of different products to your rabid crowd of visitors.

Building a Super Sexy Affiliate Site...

...needn't be too hard in all honesty. You just need a lot of content and patience.

Pick your niche. Do this by looking at "transparent" markets (this part inspired by the excellent Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate book) and see what is already selling. Go where the money already is in other words!

The do some keyword research using our old favourite Wordtracker. Build a bunch of pages around the juiciest keywords, preferably those with a KEI of 3 or 4 and over. Aim for about 50-100 pages of good quality content.

Now you can write all this yourself but I suggest going to somewhere like Need An Article to get them written for you.

Get Some Traffic

If possible order another 50 articles for distribution using a service like Article Marketer. This will ensure that you get a gazillion sites linking back to you.

Power this up with some directory submissions and perhaps even an account at 3 Way Links to really supercharge your rankings.

Now you have a strong site you have leverage. Once you've got a steady stream of visitors you can point them to any affiliate offer of your choosing.

Simply make a nice squeeze page somewhere on your site (or stick an aweber form in your header as I do) and you'll soon start to build a nice mailing list.

Send your mailing list quality information. Send them back to your site to read further articles and, of course, send them affiliate offers.

Rinse and repeat with a dozen or so sites and...retire from your 9 to 5!
