Building An Authority Site

The name of the game at the moment is to build an authority site.

What does this mean?

Basically, it's a move away from flimsy "thin-affiliate" sites and spammy adsense pages. It's lots of original content and its constantly evolving both of which in turn mean lots of backlinks and thus good Google ranking power.

The key to this is patience.

How often have you started off a new project only for something else to come along, full of promise, only to snatch you away from your previous project which, if only you'd stuck at it, would have made you a great deal of money.

If you want to build an authority site - slow and steady wins the day. This is no place for fast cash. Just a consistent build up until you reach your income goals.

You also have to work hard. That simple sentence is enough to put 90% of people off. But, hey, that's what keeps the road clear for the rest of us right?

Set a goal and then with patience and discipline move forward until you reach your goal. This can be applied to virtually any area of your life. Building an authority site is the discipline we'll focus on in the next few posts. More tomorrow…
