How To Cash In With A Single Web Page

If this is your first time at The Complete Guide, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed...also don't forget to sign up to my newsletter above and get your FREE Quickstart Guide to earning online. Thanks for visiting!

The real beauty of making money on the internet is that you can do it with just one web page with nothing but text and an order button on it.

It's true. All you need to get earning almost immediately… is just the one page out there in cyberspace.

Internet marketing is so easy sometimes.

Let me explain…

Sure, you can make money with adsense and affiliate programs (I do and I absolutely love it!) But the hands down quickest and most effective way to begin earning an income is through PLR products and by studying the basics of copywriting.

Here's what I do…

Get hold of a PLR product from say PLRProEbooks or any of the hundreds of PLR sites out there - just do a Google search for "PLR ebooks".

Create a sales letter from scratch or update the one you may have got with the package.

Either way try and make the sales page original.

Follow the general copywriting format of an attention grabbing headline followed by an outline of the problem your surfer is currently facing (i.e. "do you find it difficult to keep the weight off over Christmas?")

Then add your own story to connect with the reader - for example: "I've always had a problem losing weight and last Christmas I seemed to balloon more than ever. Thank goodness I read "Jim's Super Diet Plan…"

..and link the problem to the solution that you're handily providing ;)

Make a list of the benefits your customer will receive and then…ask for the order.

Obviously it can get a little more in-depth than that brief foray into the world of copywriting.

It's easier to get someone else to do the sales letter. For an affordable but top of the range sales letter may I suggest this copywriting service.

So, you've got your product and your sales letter - now all you need to do is promote, promote, promote!

Use forums, articles and Web 2.0 methods to get an avalanche of traffic to your sales letter and sit back and watch the checks roll in.

Listen, a colleague of mine, Dr. Mike, began with one simple sales letter. He sold one copy of his ebook each day and soon figured out that, hey, if he launched 9 more books and sold them at $17 each that'll be $170 per day within a few months.

He soon left his day job :)

The best thing to do is just get started. Get your first sales letter out there, practice your copywriting by writing out by hand other successful sales letters. Then write your own letter and promote…

Release free reports on forums and include links to your sales letter in them. Get in touch with other webmasters in your niche and ask them to sign up as an affiliate and promote your ebook.

You don't have to get to the top of Google to make money - you can use the sites that are already there to sell your book for you!

This is easy. You can set up a mini business, an income stream within one day using just one web page. What other business can you do that in?

Hey Matt,

I agree, and there is no easier way to get started, even with a trickle of income, as you stated. With the abundance of information available to research and follow, it becomes a simple process of using even free resources to begin with. Some simple steps to follow, and anyone can use what they have a passion for, and offer an ebook or report, and begin a steady flow of money.

Thanks for the insight!

Paul

Hi,

That's a good article that certainly cuts through a lot of the crap out there. It really is as basic as you suggest. The main thing is to DO it!

Thanks for the inspiration,
Laurie

Hi Laurie,

So true. A lot of people already know the steps but they're missing the most crucial ingredient - taking action!

This is a masterpiece. As a newbie, I mean yet to start IM, this is easier said than done. It does not cost much if you know how to go about it.

Yes, I agree that simplicity, keeping it honest, and straightforward is the best way especially when just starting out, it's easier moving one step at a time too!

Wishing all the best.

Hi Matt,

1st, thanks for your efforts to help some of us out here dangling in the wind so to speak :d.
I like the way you have listed each step so clearly, thank you for this Matt.

A couple of questions.

1. I'm writing down some url ideas but can you tell me if the url name needs to correalte with the niche in any way? I would guess not.

2.On the PLR products where you said, "Either way try and make the sales page original".
By this do you mean that it is ok to modify the original authors PLR sales letter and art?

Matt,
Thanks for helping I surely appreciate it,
TraderJoe

Hi TraderJoe,

1. The URL doesn't have to correlate with the niche BUT it helps with SEO if it does.

For example, if the main keyword phrase you're going after is "weight loss pills" then http://www.weightlosspillsonline "dot" com is much more favourable in the eyes of Google when it comes to ranking for your phrase. Make sense?

2. Yes, PLR stands for Private Label Rights and means you can modify the work, be it an ebook or sales page, any way you wish. It always helps to make these products "your own"

Hope that helps!

Matt

Trader Joe @ 2:30 pm

Thanks Matt…

So I take it on point 1. that it would be best to try to have a different URL for each niche?

Thanks,
TraderJoe

Hi Matt,

I've always wanted to earn money online, up to now it's only a want and I still have not taken any action on it.

Why?

Because I know nothing about setting up a website.

Would you be kind enough to hold my hands and show me the ropes? What I mean is mentoring me from how to start a website all the way to the sales letter?

This is really my true fears that is preventing me from earning money online.

Hope you can oblige.

Thanks!

Hey Matt, very nicely done. I've just signed up for the newsletter, and downloaded the add sense ebook as well. I have an add sense account for a site which, well, isnt' doing very well at all sadly. The plr stuff sounds like what I want to get into though. Quick question: I found a site at http://www.bestchoiceforebooks.com/index.php that looks interesting. Have you come across this one before, and if so, do you have any thoughts on them?
Cheers,
Simon

Hi Andy,

Sure I'll take you through it - I recommend XSitePro though - makes the whole thing real easy!

If not, I'll take you through setting up a Wordpress blog…? Email me and we'll get started.

Hey Simon,

No I haven't heard of that site. The books are very cheap but as long as they're of a good quality you should be fine.

Also, it's the sales letter that's most important - the sad fact is that most people just skim through the ebooks they read or file them away and forget about them!

Personally I use PLRProEbooks although it is a little pricey. Having said that you get a great sales letter and audio versions of the ebooks to sell thus adding value to your offer.
