Just A Little Each Day Makes All The Difference

The funny thing about "working" in Internet Marketing" is that I never really stop.
You see, I got involved in all of this to fulfil my dream of being able to work from home (or wherever I want) and have tonnes of free time.
The way it's turned out I never actually stop working!
I try and do something that helps toward my business each and every day.
Yep, that includes weekends!
Sure, this can piss my wife off a little, but I just can't resist… and that's probably because none of this is really work to me.
It's fine if you can only manage weekdays of course, in fact eventually I want to start clocking off at 6 on a Friday and then not touch the laptop all weekend - if only to save my eyes from the strain.
But what I will say is you should try and do a little something each day that pushes your business forward.
This could be writing an article, submitting an article, leaving some posts in forums (with your link attached of course!), social bookmarking some of your pages, writing a blog post, outsourcing some work or doing some niche research.
For instance, I've been pretty lazy but I've just hammered out a sales letter for Dr. Mike, sent a broadcast email to my list of 1000 in one of my other niches and done some keyword research for my next site.
Oh and I've also procrastinated in the Warrior forum, read the latest Immediate Edge newsletter, listened to an audio by Eric Louviere, gone through my emails and…oh yeah…paid the newspaper bill and watched The Number 23 starring Jim Carrey (terrible film!)
Now I'm writing this blog post and thinking I really need some fresh air.
Yup, I'm living the dream
But the point is, if you can do a little on your business each day, those little things can add up to a great deal.
Allan Gardyne once said that all you really need to do is write one content article each day and submit one each day too.
Over time your site will grow into a behemoth with a ton of links pointing at it.
This is so true!
But folks tend to jump from one thing to the next (and I'm as guilty as most) when they should be sticking to their initial goal.
Human nature I suppose…
So what will your "action" be today? Go on, push things forward a little…

Hi Matt,
Very good! Yes, like you, I enjoy what I do
when it comes to online stuff. A lot of it
really doesn't seem like work.
Doing a little something each and every day
is excellent advice. And, also, you mention
a very important point towards the end of
your post, where you say, folks "should be
sticking to their initial goal," rather than
jumping around from one thing to the next.
Great advice!
All the best,
Laurie
